The M27-2 sounds like a decent deal. You don't mention a barrel length, and that could make a big difference.

The other two sound high from my limited perspective. Especially the 90% Pre-10. Is there something special about it? Barrel length may make a difference there too if its a snub... still sounds way high.

I agree with Jack. The pre 10 and the 14 seem high, the 27 doesn't sound too bad for my area. I would make them an offer on the 27 commenting on the bad case. The case can be repaired in one of several ways.:D

I my area the difference between the pawnshops' asking price, and their out the door price can vary from 10% to as much as 30%.

Can't speak for prices on the other two, but I purchased an M 27 -2 6" in March of this year, wooden case in V good condition with tools. Revolver 95%; no scrapes or dings but three spots on barrel from holster ware. I paid $600.00 O.T.D. So $850.00 sounds high.

Agree on most comments. M&P is pricey, I might go $425 if 6" RB but that's personal. I'd like to get a 6" RB. 14-2 is '61-'67, still high w/ wrong box.27-2 w/ 6" is'67-'81 $650 would OK. Presentation case liners have habit of falling apart all by their lonesome.
I LOVE HAND EJECTORS!

{Edit: barrel is 6"}
If you are just going around looking for smokin' great deals, I could see letting this one go. But it is a decent price if you want an M27-2.

My usual rule of thumb is to add $100 for presentation case and tools. To even a casual collector, they should add about that much. Of course if you have no interest in the case / tools, they may be worth very little to you.

So, per my thinking, we are talking $750 for a 6" M27-2 in "98% +" condition. To me, that is a fair enough price, if you want one. You don't see them in that condition every day. From my experience, when you are talking $650 for an M27-2, it either has an 8-3/8" barrel or is at best an honest 90%. ... or has Pachs instead of wood ... or all of the above!

But then, maybe I just need to get out more. :D

I just picked up a newer model 10-8 at my local pawn shop for $200 out the door. It's a 4 Inch bull barrel with a little holster wear on the muzzle.
He had a 6" 629 classic that was factory ported for $500. Since I have a M29-2 8 3/8 I passed on that.
