Thoughts on Safariland (Comp II?) speedloaders and Bianchi speedstrips - are there better choices?
Ideas for IWB holsters appreciated too.

Kinda depends on what your end use is.... the comp II is a good choice for speed, durability and tactile feel. But they are hard plastic/polymer and, unless carried in a speed pouch, are bulky in the pocket. The speed strips are easy to carry in the pocket but are much slower to reload the revolver.....and rounds can come out of the strip if they are subject to any really rough handling. I carry a Model 66 2 1/2” off duty and carry 2 Comp II loaders as reloads. I would rather have the speed in reloading rather than some minor convenience in carry. I carry in a Bianchi IWB Pocket Pistol pouch (I think that is what it’s called). Very concealable and fast if needed. It has a very thumb break retaining strap. I like it over all other concealable carry holsters. It has worked for me for many, many years. Hope this helps.

When I carried a Colt DS on a regular basis I dropped two speed strips in my offside pocket, just in case. The only time I ever needed the gun one shot did it, but the speed strips are more convenient for low profile carry than speed loaders (at least for me). For me that was more important. For you that is obviously not the case. Both decisions are valid.

I used the Bianchi Pistol pocket for several years in the 80s until I discovered Milt Sparks Summer Special. I now use the SS almost exclusively for concealed carry for guns ranging from the Walther PPK to S&W 3 inch 65s and 66....... to gun like the Beretta Centurion and Sig 220.

I do have a number of Pistol Pockets in my "Big Box-O-Holsters" Good holster but hard to re-holster as it collapses on the draw.

I carry mine in a Kramer Belt Scabbard, it's OWB, but conceals very well under light clothing. I never much cared for revolvers IWB.

As far as speed loaders go, I sent the cylinder to TK customs and had it cut for moon clips. From mailbox to mailbox it was one week and the job was top notch as usual.

Thanks all - very helpful! Appreciate the fast replies too!
