For me it was because I found a deal on a used one. Only been fired a few times. I like the fluted, threaded barrel to fit my suppressor. The two stage trigger is nice and the VLTOR stock I like better than the plain one you get with the stock model. Maybe buying new its not but if finding a used one at a good deal is worth it.

in a word NO...

you can make the modification to everything but the fluting in the barrel with aftermarket parts and come out ahead

I managed to build an MOE from parts offline for $75 less than the MSRP and i still have the OE grip and stock to swap on if i sell it

same thing goes with the PC model...if its used and under MSRP then hit it up! if its not...build your own--thats the beautiful thing about this community and these guns--the personalization

Not worth the extra money IMHO. I may have gotten a less than stellar example of the PC, but my MOE shoots just as good if not better.
Buy the MOE version and have fun. You can buy a lot of ammo for the extra money you're going to pay for the PC.

For me yes. My dealer charges $625 for our gun club members and considering the different parts it was a good deal for me. The stock flash hider is semi worthless as a compensator so I did not have to replace that as I already had a much superior Nordic compensator. Like the 2-stage trigger better that the single stage of standard models (both a little heavier than I like). Definitely like the Hogue grip better as most replace the stock part anyway. I'm middling over the Vltor stock as they seem not much different to use than stock ones. The metal iron sights work well and I like having them even though I use scopes and red dots 99% of the time.
And one of the big deals is it only comes with a single 10 round mag, which in my state (MD) means I can pick it up the same day and take it home without having to fill the paperwork and wait 7 days as an "assault rifle". I needed it fast to take it to the RR WC as a backup rifle, which I ended up having to use in the match.

IMO it's definitely a personal preference kind of thing. I wanted the things the PC offered and I knew I wasn't likely to mod the trigger in the future with aftermarket parts.

I've been really pleased with mine overall, but whether it's "better" than the other versions seems to be a subjective matter. Glad to hear you're happy with yours.

I have three that I switch between. First is a Bushnell Trophy 1X32 T dot, second a Millett DMS 1-4X24 with a Burris FastFireII piggybacking and third a Bushnell Ledgend 5-15X40 (No pic). Depending on the type of shooting I am doing it is quick and easy to change between them as all have quick release mounts.

I have a Primary Arms on mine. They are a good reddot for the money and when I ordered mine, they were offering a free rifle case also. Just waiting now for the paperwork for the Sparrow to finish up.

Very nice!! I'm waiting until 2nd amendment tax free weekend here in la to pickup a 15-22, of course I love researching for accessories!

Primary arms red dot or vortex red dot is what I'm considering for her!! I would love to put a scope and the red dot just too be able use either one.

Just ordered the PC version yesterday. It had the features that I wanted. I live in Hawaii, and have to get everything from the mainland. Shipping charges are a killer. So, the PC version saved me mega bucks over ordering wanted parts from several vendors.
