Pc shield 1.0 with 3.75” barrel

****SOLVED MISPRINTED BOX LABEL****


Long story short, I moved recently and lost my box of extra shells for my alien gear holsters. I went to purchase a new shell however I couldn't find any shields with 3.75" barrels listed on their site. Is this an uncommon length or a short run compared to the 3.1?

Shields don't come in a 3.75" barrel. Stick a small dowel or bamboo skewer down the barrel with it UNLOADED and in battery. Mark where it exists the barrel then measure to assure yourself.

Odd. I searched on the UPC code and found several hits. Here's one of them

It lists 3.1" as the barrel. It also shows the same SKU as your pic above.

Does the label show a SKU?

Looks just like a 3.1" 40 I bought a while back
I transplanted it into a 2.0 frame & gave it a Plus Trigger

Ok I measured the barrel and it's at 3"! I have to check it against the other shield again…not sure how I was holding it last time but I was in a rush and it looked longer. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Here's my sku and also 2 other with the same barrel length listed that I found online. Anyone know why they're listed like this?? Just to make sure I'm measuring it correctly it's tip of barrel to the end of the chamber?

Edit: decided to show a couple pics on how I measured the barrel. Excuse my ignorance as I'm pretty much a revolver only guy!

Yep, 3.1" it is! Not sure why the label is misprinted.

Right! It had me wondering what the heck was going on. Maybe I'll get in touch with S&w and see what they have to say about it.

S&W isn't the only company that sells guns in a box, but it makes you wonder why? Cost I would assume... Taurus & Springfield Armory come to mind but there are others...
