I ordered my pellet gun last night from Amazon, a Benjamin .25 cal. Went to check out only to be notified that the two Items cannot be shipped together on the same truck. What? So now UPS will have to make two trips to my house on two different days and I have to pay double. Come on, what's this all about? Is this an Amazon thing or a Fed thing? What's going to happen, a UPS driver sees a pellet gun and pellets in his rig and all of a sudden decides to go ballistic? I would purchase the pellets locally and save the shipping cost but nobody sells .25 cal.

You could have asked Amazon who else sells .25 cal pellets and got it from them. Free shipping seems to happen at the total order level so even if you get things from three different shops it still might be free shipping.

Not 100% sure it will work but give it a try next time.

Everyone knows the Mexican drug cartels are getting their pellet rifles and pellets from the US...this restriction has dramatically cut down on drug shooting.

Amazon ships from multiple locations and warehouses. It is not uncommon for different items on the same order to come in separate shipments on different trucks.

Example: I ordered some winter wiper blades last fall and since cars these days use different lengths for the driver and passenger sides my order was for 4 items ( 4 different length blades) They came in three separate cartons from two different warehouses. Since it was all free shipping anyway and did not cost me anything I didn't care.
