According to my friend, whose father is a traditionally pro-gun democrats in the House, he has been harshly pressed to support a comprehensive gun-control bill. During the discussion with Pelosi and Lautenburg, Pelosi opioned that democrats would put forward a comprehensive gun control bill and pressure NRA to back it up, because "NRA does not have any bargaining chip this time", they would sought some kind of lukewarm support from NRA by offering a little bit concession (if NRA does not want to offer any help, their bill will be even tougher), this is designed to incite deep anger among NRA supporters, so more members will cancel their membership, this will quickly weaken the political grip of NRA over feedom-loving politicians.

Tomorrow, on the 21st, NRA would have a Press Conference, so it is important you still support them even they would say something you don't like. They are expected to have a rather conciliatory tone.

Please forward this message to other forums, this is very urgent, sorry, I can't disclose the name of this Congressman!

No worries, the world ends Dec 21st anyway so no big deal...

I don't understand how Pelosi can weaken the NRA... They are signing up an increase of over 8,000 new members per day since the shooting...

Sorry, no offense, but I smell troll...

If I saw this in print, I would give it more than the few seconds it took to type this... Have a great Christmas if we are still here... (jk)...

I already see many people writing twits against the NRA, just wait until tomorrow afternoon, I bet many people would be upset with NRA,
Mighty god, please tell me I am wrong here!!!

I say just wait and see. They aren't done fighting, and I don't think their tone will be conciliatory. I hope not anyway. We aren't just going to cave in. When I look into Nancy Pelosi's eyes I can see the the back of her cranium. I've been wrong before but.....

It's funny how they claim to have a "mandate", and "we won" and blah blah blah, when they WEREN'T saying anything comparable after the 2010 midterms. The NRA is not going anywhere.

The anti's were saying the same things about the NRA after Colombine in 99. And then they had the AWB in place.
