Today I traveled about 100 miles to attend the Pembroke Pines, Florida gun show. This show has been touted as the new and improved replacement for the Ft. Lauderdale show. Not!
I go to gun shows regularly, and this one has to rank up there as one of the worst. Primarily the vendors were selling holsters, knives, tee shirts, AR uppers, etc. and a few guns. It only took me about 20 minutes to see everything.
The upside to this was that since it took such a short time to go through the show, I had enough time to stop at a local pawn shop, where I found a good deal on a Ruger.

I heard gossip that West Palm and Lauderdale revolted against the traveling Shoot Straight Store shows. It will take a determined ($$$$) promoter to get some oxygen away from Khaled. I have been watching the Lakeland LRPC show die a slow death. Went last weekend and while "Traditional" it fit into a single hangar at the Lakeland Linder airport. Joe

Joe, I don't know about Ft. Lauderdale, but the Palm Beach Shoot Straight store is only about a mile away from the West Palm Show. While Shoot Straight doesn't have any tables at the show it always has someone standing outside the entrance with a sign directing attendees to the store.

I find the South Florida Gun Shows to be disappointing. Lots of T-Shirts, hats, jewelry, beef jerky, etc. Seems like the “Gun” is now missing from the “Show.”

At shows I keep an eye out for older S&Ws. They are few and far between. Lots of new guns, black guns, even collector old guns. Just not many Smiths.

Sixgun, I agree completely. In fact, if you check one of my older posts it reads almost word for word as yours does.
