Gubernatorial Candidate Tom Wolf Attempts to Deceive Voters

A new group by the name of "Sportsmen for Wolf" has been launched in Pennsylvania with the intention to deceive voters of the Keystone State about the Second Amendment positions of gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf. We at the National Rifle Association find it interesting that candidate Wolf has been endorsed by the leading gun control group in Pennsylvania, CeasefirePA, and who refused to answer our state candidate questionnaire, could be considered "pro-gun," as "Sportsmen for Wolf" would lead you to believe.
TOM WOLF OPPOSES YOUR RIGHTS!

Thomas W. Wolf
Pennsylvania Anti-Gun Gubernatorial Candidate
"F" Rated by NRA-PVF

"Sportsmen for Wolf" would like you to think that "Tom Wolf supports the Second Amendment and he will protect gun owners' rights." A quick look at his CeasefirePA candidate survey paints a very different picture of him. According to his survey responses available online, here are a few of Wolf's positions on issues of importance to gun owners and sportsmen:
• WOLF supports expanding background checks to cover all private sales of long guns, including shotguns and hunting rifles
• WOLF is open to the possibility of requiring background checks for the purchase of ammunition
• WOLF opposes eliminating the duplicative Pennsylvania Instant Criminal Background Check System to instead rely on the commonly used National Instant Criminal Background Check System
• WOLF is open to the possibility of requiring gun dealers to provide inventory to local law enforcement
• WOLF is open to the possibility of requiring ammunition sellers, such as your local store, to obtain a license to sell OR TRANSFER ammunition, similar to the license that is already required to sell a firearm
• WOLF supports legislation to require victims of firearm theft to report the crime to law enforcement or become a criminal themselves
• WOLF opposes allowing gun owners and organizations to bring lawsuits against municipalities that enact local ordinances that go against state law by placing restrictions on firearm ownership that go above and beyond what is allowed by state law, creating an impossible patchwork of firearm restrictions
• WOLF supports mandating firearm locking devices and supports requiring gun owners to keep firearms and ammunition in separate secure locations, severely limiting the ability of firearm owners to access a gun for self-defense purposes
• WOLF supports banning commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms owned by millions of gun owners and sportsmen at both the state and federal levels
• WOLF supports arbitrarily limiting ammunition magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds of ammunition, which primarily affects handguns designed for self-defense
• WOLF opposes national reciprocity for concealed carry permits, which would create one uniform concealed carry permit, allowing permit holders to protect themselves no matter which state they are in without fear of prosecution
• WOLF gave an ambiguous answer when asked if he would prohibit self-defense on college campuses by banning the possession of firearms
• WOLF is endorsed by former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg's gun control organization, "Everytown for Gun Safety." Bloomberg is spending millions to elect candidates like Tom Wolf, and Tom Wolf supports Bloomberg's gun control agenda.
Clearly, these are not the positions of someone who supports the Second Amendment rights of the citizens of Pennsylvania. Tom Wolf supports measures that would create more red tape and hassle for sportsmen or anyone who wishes to legally possess a firearm, and supports legislation that would further restrict your rights. Accordingly, Tom Wolf was graded an "F" by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund. Please remember this when you vote in November; Tom Wolf is not a friend to gun owners or Second Amendment supporters.

Wolf will not get my vote,,,,looks like a snake oil salesman from the start....;)
Couldn't trust him as far as I can spit!

Thanks!

I knew he was anti 2A when I heard "Sportsmen for Wolf". That right there is double speak for -- you can have a hunting rifle and a over under shotgun for clay shooting. And it seems I'm right

The problem in PA is that Tom CORBETT decimated public education funding (to the tune of $900 million), and the Teachers Union is pushing hard to vote him out. Wolf is already leading the polls, and with TU support, Corbett is as good as unemployed.

Corbett didn't do it, his Democratic predecessor Rendell created the problem. Corbett had to clean it up.

Corbett is getting tagged for the $900M by the PA Teachers Union, irrespective of who is ultimately responsible for the problem. I get daily emails from PSEA urging any/everyone to vote against Corbett, and hear it at every union meeting. With the big push for the entire educational field to go against Corbett, there's a lot of votes he's already not getting. That's much of the reason for the ~50%/38% poll numbers in Wolf's favor. Personally, I would never vote for a Democrat again, but Corbett is almost assuredly done here in PA no matter how much support he can get from 2A supporters and anti-Wolf voters.

I did not realize Wolf was that anti. I was considering voting for him. Willingness to Tax the fracking companies was what drew me towards him. I guess i must reevaluate whats most important to me.

Comment as to the importance of your vote this November no matter where you reside!

If we loose our 2A rights or let them legislate firearms from our possession a small amount at a time the other Rights we now have will be insignificant! Please study each candidate in each of your states and determine which is the best to protect your right to own and bear arms!

I heard things were turning around for Corbett. I think he did well in the last two debates. Wolf can't back up his statements when pressured. He will raise taxes!
With that AH AG Kane and Wolf together we can only expect some of the worse.
Kane needs to go,she's a real low lying piece of work!
I guess we'll soon find out but you know I won't be voting for Wolf ! ;)

I anticipate Wolf will do two things.

1) Raise taxes in general, and

2) Aim to tax the gas companies. Only problem with taxing gas companies is that this tax get's passed on to the consumer in the form of a % price increase, so you have a hidden tax on anyone using natural gas because that burden is built into the price. It's just a shell game where the consumer loses. Just look at the surcharges and taxes built into one's telephone and cable bill to see evidence of that.

Win or Lose, Wolf will not get my vote.

I vote for the person not the party and wolf will not get my vote

A modicum of research will show that Wolf is a wolf in Wolf's clothing. I plan on voting against the wishes of my profession and TU.

I'm not sure how credible this "laundry list" is, but I knew from the start that Wolf is no friend of firearm owners. If memory serves correctly, he stated during the Democratic primary debates that he supports a PA AWB.

This is part of the PA Dems agenda. Since Wolf is endorsed by them he will work toward that goal whether or not it is something that he believes in.

Sadly, it looks according to the pols, that Wolfe will win. Corbett is getting a bum rap over the school funding issue. Obama gave the schools about 1 Billion dollars free spending money in the stimulis package. The free money expired, and the special interest groups are mad, that Corbett didn't make up the loss of the one time stimulis money, with PA taxpayers footing the bill. They call that cutting education funding.

We can only hope that the Republicans can keep both houses and deny Wolfe his anti gun agenda. Ed Rendel, the previous Dem governor, could not get his anti gun agenda passed due to the Republican majority opposition. There is some pro gun legislation pending, which reinforces the ban on cities and municipalities, from creating their own gun laws, and provides legal fee restitution, for individuals arrested and prosecuted illegally by these entities. Gov Corbett says he will sign this legislation, if it reaches his desk in time. It will be a nice present for incoming governor Wolfe.

The latest PSEA propaganda email touted Obama's wife coming to PA and speaking in support of Wolf. That's all we need to know.

This thread has accomplished it's task of notification. Now it has turned into political commentary.

I'll be away for work during the election so I all ready voted via absentee ballot. I voted for Corbett. The last thing I want is more gun control and higher taxes.
