Performance Center PPC round count?

I have a line on a 5" with "several thousand rounds" fired by the previous owner who was a competitive PPC shooter.

Is that excessive? Can I expect consistant accuracy before it needs to be looked/worked over by s and w?

I have a relatively new 952-2 that I use now for IDPA style matches at my club and am not sure if I would be helping myself with the used PPC.
