Based on my unique shape:( , I’ve always had problems getting my assorted Gun belts to properly support my holster and gun when I carry OWB. Either the belt is to lose, and I’m constantly adjusting it, or it’s so tight I have problems breathing.

Today for the first time, I tried a set of Perry’s suspenders. They are 2” wide and attach to your belt, not pants, with a “J” hook system. After five or so hours of normal use, I.e. Walking, errand running, and in and out of the car they work as advertised. I can adjust me belt to a comfortable position without it being either to lose or to tight.
I’m back to OWB carry again.

Glad to hear it, old bear! I've been preaching about Perry Suspenders for a long time now, and I wear them every day. They have been a lifesaver for me. I can carry securely and snugly and back off a belt notch and be able to bend over and sit down without cutting off circulation to my bottom half!! And the convenience of being able to detach and reattach the suspenders to my belt during the day regardless of what I'm wearing is a real plus. Good for you!

...you need one of those Sam Browne Belts...made famous by Warren Ferguson (and some other people I'm sure)...

Putting down a rabid dog in this episode, I believe. (Atticus Finch style)
Suspenders and belt is coming back as an acceptable men's fashion combo. I saw a fellow in Portland coming out of one of a hundred craft breweries with leather boots/belt/suspenders, rolled up Filson pants, and a well-oild beard with silver rings in it. It must be cool if they are doing it in Portland.

I discovered Perry's suspenders this past fall when working on my Son's house for extended periods of time. ( I got tired of my wife making plumbers crack jokes.). They do work very well ONCE I figured out that the J clips need just the right amount of strap tension for them to stay in place. Too much/little and they pop off from time to time.
That said, I wish Jeans came with buttons so I could use the old button on style.

Carhart and Key still make loggers jeans that have suspender buttons.

I used to wear them on the job. Still have a few pair that I wear when I work outside.

Lots of stores around here carry those because all the old loggers aren't dead.......yet. ;)

I recently bought 2 pair of Perry suspenders . I've been wearing suspenders for over 10 years now.
I thought I'd like the Perry's suspenders but I find that they will not stay adjusted with the plastic adjusters. The elastic is also on the weak side . The last straw is they pop off my belt when I drop my pants to use the rest room.
So I guess I'm the odd one as everyone else loves them.:(

I had the same complaint with my original Perry suspenders. I did not like the plastic adjuster sliders! I bought a pair of the Perry dress style suspenders that are just a bit narrower than the originals and work styles and they have a metal "buckle" clasp for the adjustment slider. They hold their position much better than the plastic sliders. And I have found that the suspenders do about as good a job holding things up unless of course you are toting a carpenters tool belt!

You might try a set of the dress style and see what you think. I am a huge fan of the belt clip arrangement, which I feel is far superior to the buckle clasps that attach to the britches waistband. I was very pleased to find satisfaction with the dress style models!
