New moon will make it dark. Hope your sky is clear. Kinda cloudy in Louisville but I'm going to keep checking. This link is supposed to show them online.

For the second time in recent memory the Saturday Perseids were blanked by bad weather. Tomorrow I have to work and the state is blanketed by smoke from CA, so no Perseids for us this year.

Saw a few good ones tonight. Clear sky here.

Clouds cleared out midnight. so my daughter sid. She stayed up to watch. Saw a few. I woke up about 0145 and went out to look as it was still hotter'n blazes about 82 or 3. 102 for the last 2 days. Laying in the back of the truck on the irrigation canal road listening to coyotes and watching the shower. About 0230 the breeze picked up and it cooled down in a hurry and cleared the California smoke out. By 0500 it was 54 and I saw quite a few meteors lighting up the sky... it was enjoyable and it is 63 right now.

...my wife said she went back out about four and saw a bunch more...good ones...

I got up at 0100. It was raining...hard. I went back to bed.
