SOLD
What we have here is an exceptionally nice, and very rare, Smith & Wesson Model 10-7. This is "The .38 Military Police" model, in .38 Special caliber, 2" snub nose, High Polish Blue, Round Butt, made "exclusively" for the Peruvian Police Investigations Bureau, 30 years ago. It is all original, in the original box, with ALL the papers inside! The gun has no aftermarket engravings put onto the back strap, or anywhere else. This is a true non-molested, all original, in the box gun.
I would rate this gun a 96%, ONLY due to very slight muzzle wear on the left side and a very few small handling marks.
The high polish blue is absolutely immaculate and the Engraved Police Logo is perfect. Case hardened hammer and trigger are a nice purple blue.
These Special Peruvian Police Dept. guns were only made for one year, 1984. The Product Code is 100101, which shows as 1984, in the Standard Catalog of S&W.
The S&W trade publication ad (see photo) says "Manufactured exclusively for the prestigious Policia de Investigaciones del Peru (the Peruvian equivalent to our own F.B.I) and bearing the engraved seal and stamp of this elite agency…it very well may be the very last to ever bear this official seal of the P.I.P." The S&W ad also shows Product Code #100101, only 1,984 total units were made. Serial Number is AEF85XX.
This beautiful gun is currently on display and For Sale, with specific instructions not to be handled, inside my local gun store for $1100.00, or reasonable offer. If it sells there, I will have to cancel the ad here. It is being sold as-as, ONLY because I am not having it tampered with and returned. This gun is near perfect, you will not be disappointed!
Price is 550 bucks now, shipping included, Priority, from my FFL to yours. It needs to go to someone who can pay,....in the next day or so.
It will not ship to California. ...Payment options: US Postal Service Money Orders, United States bank drawn Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, Personal and Business checks as payment. ..... Personal and business checks are gladly accepted, however, may delay shipping for bank clearance. .....Take advantage of this "truly unique" opportunity!.......Best wishes on this one, there aren't many more!
There are two other Peruvian Police Model 10's on Gunbroker. One has an aftermarket engraving grounded into the back strap (which I think ruins it) for $750.01 and another one that's very nice, but it's $1250.00.
Save $700.00, plus shipping and grab this!
Will be sold to the first person that replies with "I will take it".
Then PM me so we can exchange info.
Thank you for looking!
In the box.
Perfect engraving
And Perfectly Clean.
