Photobucket fix.

As many of you know, Photobucket changed their policy and locked us out of 3rd part hosting. I just discovered a new fix for that. Photobucket Hotlink Fix - Chrome Web Store This is a link to an extension you can add to Firefox or Chrome or Opera. It allows your browser to see Photobucket images that were previously not viewable. It doesn't fix it for other people, but does in your browser.

What this means, is you can see pics that were previously blocked. I still recommend using some other hosting site, but at least you'll be able to see pics again instead of the annoying message.

EDIT: In Firefox, go to Add-ons, Extensions and search for Photobucket Hotlink 1.3.14

There's also been a fix released for Firefox, but I don't remember who makes it. However I'm 99.9%sure that neither will work if the original picture has been removed from PB and the picture was posted as an embedded link.

I wrote of this fix several weeks back. Firefox has it in their ad-on inventory, you can get it there. I think Opera and Chrome likewise have it in theirs.

I installed the addon to Firefox when DWalt had posted his thread up a few weeks ago. It does work, if the links to PB aren't broken by the OP deleting the pics, like a lot of us did when they pulled their ripoff stunt.

I downloaded all my pics from PB and uploaded (most) to imgbb. Didn't take long and the problem is solved . I had had it with the pop-up adds at PB anyway. Too bad, it was a good host in it's time.

Yup. I think a lot of us were getting pretty fed up. It was intermittent borderline unusable.

I'm glad to be rid of it but a lot of valuable information and photos were lost.

I tried to download all my PB pics into a zip file (following the PB instructions) it just starts and then locks up and will not do it??

Any suggestions??
