I've about had it with Photo-Bucket:eek: slow, inconsistent, looses photos

What else is available for uploading to the forum ??

Photobucket has been adding nag screens, screens that pop-over when you roll into the tab areas in FireFox......plus, it has been really slow to load for me. I am just about done with it.

Maybe it's your platform or browser that gums up the works. Reports of "Long running script" errors have plagued some sites, for some users. The S&W forum has generated some of those issues for some members.

My platform makes Photobucket work smooth:

Botophuckit has been horrible for me lately. Almost impossible to use. I tried Flikr but they demand my yahoo email which I quit using years ago and can't log on to. I don't know where else to store personal pics for hotlink sharing.

I have had that same problem, I even got through to a real person at Photobucket but I seemed to have made the problem go away. I was logged onto photobucket from my phone, iPad and home computer and it got to the point where it just would not load, I logged off my photobucket account from all my devices, something that was hard to do as it wouldn't load up enough of the site to be able to log off most of the time. I then re booted all my devices and then I got to photobucket using new connections, not my old links. I logged onto photobucket and everything now seems fine.

I went with imgur after too much photobucket nonsense. PB locked me out of my account for uploading my limit, then began a barrage of emails about upgrading. I cancelled it.

Imgur is easy to navigate for me.

I believe that google chrome is Photobucket's preferred browser. It was working for me fine today but was slow a couple times earlier in the week. I just waited and it worked fine later.

Try this one.

Code:
http://www.uploadhouse.com/recent.php

I have been with this site for over 10 years and it has no restrictions on what you put up.

It's easy to use as well.

There are multiple threads on this and other forums regarding Photobucket. All basically say the same thing, it freezes, it inundates you with ads and pop-ups, etc. This has been an ongoing issue, for months. I quit using it to post pictures for these reasons. In fact I deleted my Photobucket account.

I now use Picturetrail. It is free, it is simple to use and it works.

PictureTrail: Online Photo Sharing, Image Hosting, Online Photo Albums, Photo Slideshows

I use Chrome and Photobucket still doesn't work.

I usually don't use forum software to upload pics because with my iPhone, the forum software often fails to read the orientation data, and posts the picture upside down or sideways even if it looks correct on my phone or PC.

That's the first time anyone has articulated a reason not to use the forum software.

I still hate the cat pictures everywhere ...

Maybe coincidence but when I paid the $10 year ransom my p-bucket problems ceased. I usually use Chrome for a browser. I'd like to give linux a shot except I'm old and don't like to learn new tech stuff.

I use Photobucket mostly. It is a little slow sometimes, but it is Free! I also use the forums image upload. It works quite well and I never worry about privacy issues!
Many viewer and forum members, post pictures using their Photobucket account but fail to make their "Library Albums" Private! They may not be aware of the fact that you can access their albums and view everything uploaded to it! Some images can be very embarrassing and/or revealing. Also their ID's in many cases are spelled out in their account!
Just a "Heads-up", for your privacy.
