I collect WW II knives and study old photographs. In the D-Day pictures I have finally found a soldier wearing a 225Q aka quartermasters knife.

I know the knife you mean. I guess you've seen Col. Darby and other Rangers with Fairbairn-Sykes knives? Even the unit doctor wore a .45 and that knife. I've seen some photos of paratroopers with the M-3 knife, too.

I have seen many photos of military men wearing any variety of issue and custom knives. I have finally found a photo of a navy deck hand wearing a rubber handled Colonial Mark 1. The quite common quartermasters knives abound but till today had never seen a photograph of a soldier actually wearing one. My quest is still on for a photograph of a solider wearing either a Cole or Huff knuckle knife.
