Ok guys, I'll try to get pictures of the first 2 up next week (wifey has camera).
The name of the game is...suggest my next wheel gun.
It it has to be under $1000
It has to be unique
It needs to be shot
you have to justify the choice.

#1 was........
The 1995 PC-13.
Based on the 3" round-butt gun, the magnum K-frame featured a bobbed hammer and double-action-only lockwork,
lightly chamfered charge holes, a simple overtravel stop consisting of a roll-pin fixed in the rear of the trigger,
Eagle Secret Service grips, and quad Mag-Na-Porting. The cylinder release was beveled on the bottom
to better clear a speedloader and, unlike the standard 3" Model 13, the ejector rod was shrouded.
The whole gun was finished in a businesslike matte blue. only 400 of them were built.

#2 is
S&W M460 Performance Center 38
Made in caliber .38 s&w special. DAO. limited production of 450.
Aluminum alloy J frame with round butt, 5-shot fluted steel
cylinder with nominal length of 1.53", full concealed hammer,
2" ported barrel, fixed sight with blue matter finish,
Eagle secret service grips .312" smooth trigger,
Performance Center Logo Laser etched on side plate. Product code 170055

what's number 3 gonna be?

Game on.

To keep under 100 bucks you'll need to visit the toy section at Wall Mart and limit the number of extra Nerf "bullets" you purchase..:)

If you need a push, my recommendation would be the 357 mag. Can shoot 38's if you desire, without seeing the gun, sounds like a good carry sidearm.

Has to be a revolver and under $1K? Easy, either a Model 17 or 617; everyone needs a good .22.

2 (hell make it 3)
#1 342 no lock titanium everything
#2 686P-4 2.5" 7 shot-mine is lightly chamfered

Both hard to come by but both can be had for less than a grand.
#3 Find a 438/638 on the J magnum frame with no lock and swap out a titanium cylinder-that is my grail pocket revolver right now

How about one of the nice new K-22's in the "throwback" line (as I call it. :p) ?

They are about the only thing you can find/get ammunition for right now, and are a hoot to shoot.

If not, get a new J-frame .22 like a nice 2" Model 34 so you can practice your BUG skills at the range without using expensive .38 Special ammunition.

I am asking about a wheel gun only!

I have more than 2 guns....

Sig 226 PME
Sig 228
Sig 230 in 32 ACP
Rock Island compact tactical 45
Colt series 80 stainless gold cup 45
chantilly HK P7 squeeze
S&W model 41 with 5" bully barrel and 5.5" standard barrel
Marlin 1894 CP ported 16.5" 38/357 lever action
Ruger mini-folder stainless
M1 carbine

need I continue?

I really like the S&W 625. You should try one.

Another fun one is the S&W 610 in 10mm.

+1 for the 625 but get the Mountain Gun version in 45 Colt. Have the cylinder milled to also accept 45 ACP. Now you have two guns in one, both with historical, fun to shoot and load for calibers. Its a great N Frame and with the tapered barrel to make it just a tad lighter. The round butt makes it great to carry as well. It will also be some potent medicine for whatever critters you need to dispatch.
