When they invade my shed and start pooping on my reloading equipment they have totally gone too far. The score is now Me 1, Pigeons 1 (I missed the first shot). Beretta 87 Cheetah loaded with some ancient Winchester Super-X 22LR shot cartridges.

Flying rats all they do is poop. So misfire or just missed? Your also in luck 22 shot is usually all that availed anymore.

Just totally missed. These cartridges have been around a while, box of 50 marked for $1.25. All brass with the crimped nose.

When the neighbor next door called and asked my son to exterminate the pigeons collecting in his old barn my son was happy to help him out. Three days later the farmer who lived about 2 miles down the road knocked on the door and asked "Any idea who might be killin' all my pigeons?". Check to see if the birds have bands, you never know.

Get yourself a live trap and catch them and keep them in a pen till you get a couple of dozen. Then take them out in the desert or a field depending on where you are and turn them loose one at a time. Great shotgun fun and good practice for when real bird season opens.

They're cheap and fly pretty fast so make good targets. :)

If I see one more plop on my car I'm going to do the same thing!

Ahhhh... Rock Doves!

I used to have them in my silos and shot the hell out of them regularly.

Corn fed Pidgeons are very good on the grill...

AHH taste like chicken?:D

They ARE fast flyers. I seen a city guy come out one time to try to help an Amish man get rid of some pigeons that were crapping in his hay mow. He shot off the whole box of shells and never hit a single bird. Then the Amish guy brought out an old JC Higgins 22 semi auto with a relic of a scope on it. He sighted on a bird perched on top of the barn and killed it with one shot.

About 10 years ago some pigeons started roosting at mom's place and making quite a mess.Bought a pellet rifle, drove 20 miles down there and killed a few.3 days later she calls and tells me they are back. This went on for a few months and since she lives in the city I figured that sooner or later I'd get nailed (the pd is 4 blocks away).Somewhere I read that pigeons hate water so the next time she called I grabbed a hose and sprayed them. They never came back.
