I realize this has been covered on several threads, but I ran across this pic of a pistol upper on a rifle lower and thought I'd toss it up for anyone that may be interested. I'm really digging the look, but for me it just isn't worth buying the stamp and pistol or having the barrel cut. Still could be pretty cool though with a few accessories.

I LIKE it! Been thinking about doing just that in a FDE Moe version, and would definitely SBR it.

Just takes the $200 tax stamp and right parts. I understand S&W has or is about to discontinue the pistol version.

I cut my factory 16" barrel down to 6" and it runs flawlessly

Delete the pic asap. Clear view of serial number.

Low Down, if you don't have the right ATF stamp, you're asking for a problem.

He said he "came across" the picture...not that it was his

Right,..it's not my weapon but as I said, I did come across the pic (on another forum) and honestly I did not ask permission to re post, so I'll leave it to administration to remove the pic if they deem fit to do so. However, I do appreciate the concern. :)

That looks effin cool. Pretty close to a photochop of the one I did some time ago as I'd not seen one. I love the look now that I've seen it for real.

There's nothing to suggest that it isn't a legal SBR. If you turned it around or got a closer look you may see engraving. However, since S&W Forum frowns upon posting content from other forums the pic has been deleted.
