So I am listening to m'man Merle Haggard, and his classic Okie from Muskogee, and I says to m'sef: Pitchin' woo?!

Pitchin' woo?!!


Now I always thought we wuz talkin' here about a wool sweater, stretched real tight. But, I am not sure.

What ch'all think?

Around here it was taking the lady for a buggy ride behind your gentlest horse, and perhaps if you were bold enough snuggling under a blanket to keep her from getting cold as you went along.
Stopping was a simply outrageously brazen act.:eek:

By the time I was of courtin' age, parking and watchin' the submarine races was a good tactic.

Never heard of "pitchin woo"..... i learn something every day on this forum.... most of which I probably shouldn't remember.... :D

I ain't that old. Grew up listening to Merle Haggard and nobody questioned anything he sang about, it is just not done. Now mind your manners.
