Play in 52-2 Rear Sight

Hello,

I have a 52-2 that I very much enjoy shooting. I have noticed that the rear sight is loose (the sight wiggles within the dovetail). Is there a common cause of this that you know of? In case it needs to be sent in, can you suggest a gunsmith who is skilled at fixing this sort of issue?

It could be that someone in the past forced the sight off by tapping it in the wrong direction. Hope this helps: How do I remove the sight from a 52
