There was some interesting light opportunities at the house this afternoon, so I broke out my iPhone, and a pair of 3.5" blued 357 Magnums, currently stocked with some Keith Brown Kearsarge style target stocks. It is always fun to play around with light and shadow (basic ingredients to art) and I liked the feeling of some of the photos and thought that I'd share...
On a warm wood background with the setting sun filtered through some slatted shades providing the light source:
On a solid background with much more diffused light:
Highlighting the beautiful wood grain of the stocks and wonderful KB craftsmanship in the execution:
Although not the same quality as my expensive camera, 10 years ago who would have thought that a phone could take these kind of photos - and mine is only an iPhone 11 (so relatively old as a phone).
As always, I welcome your observations, thoughts, and of course any photos of your S&W treasures.
Thanks for letting me share,
