Withdrawn, please close this post. This does not appear to be the best venue for the vintage Colt.

Offering here for a limited time before going to the auction sites. Two Colt Single Action Army revolvers.

1. <Sold pending funds, see post below>. 3rd Generation, 1979 production, 5.5" barrel, .44 Special caliber, blued and color case-hardened. Condition is very lightly used, excellent overall. Comes in a Colt Custom Shop box with paperwork.

.44 Special has been available on special order from Colt for many years, but has only been a "standard" caliber in more recent times. Smith & Wesson invented the .44 Special, and Colt's did not want to push other makers' proprietary cartridges.

I have owned this Colt for at least 10 years and I have fired it several times. Everything works exactly as designed with no problems to report.

Price is $2250 plus actual shipping & insurance to your local FFL in the United States. I have no FFL so please be sure that your dealer will accept shipment from an individual (with bill of sale and copies of my identification for dealer records), or add my local dealer's charges for handling the transaction.

2. Colt Single Action Army 'Frontier Six Shooter', caliber .44-40. This is a first generation piece, serial number indicates manufacture is 1914, factory letter shows it was shipped in 1915 to a Texas dealer. 5.5" barrel, correct grips (dark brown chocolate hard rubber, checkering is well worn but no damage to report). Completely restored by Tyler Gun Works, Friona, Texas in blue and color case-hardened finish. All particulars match the factory letter. Bore shows some typical scale and corrosion but has visible rifling and continues to shoot 3" groups at 25 yards. Comes with Colt factory letter. Price is $4500.00. Actual cost for shipping and insurance to a US address. Again, I have no FFL so be sure your dealer will accept shipment from an individual with bill of sale and copy of my ID, or be ready to reimburse my local dealer for papering the transfer.

Ask all questions prior to sale. I will provide photos to the limits of my abilities. I expect to leave this post up for a couple of weeks, then I will be going on a fishing trip with my sons and may not be able to respond easily for a while.
