Please Close Thx WTS 5" Nickel Pre-War RM (Withdrawn) & 3" 627 V-Comp (V-Comp SPF)
I need to raise some cash to fund another project, so here goes:
First, is one of 144 known factory nickeled Registered Magnums. It has a 5" barrel (only 71 Registered Magnums are known to exist in this configuration). I recently acquired this from a forum member selling for his sister-in law. Her husband had just passed away.
The gun is original. It's finish was damaged by poor storage. I paid $3,000 for the gun and original holster. I cleaned it up a bit, and all of the damage is still present, but it is now more presentable with the black tarnish spots not quite as noticeable. I feel that the gun has enough of the original nickel finish remaining that it should not be restored. However, it easily could be re-nickeled, and would be very attractive, and still quite rare. The grips are excellent and are numbered to the gun. This gun is listed in Table 4 of Roy Jinks' definitive SWCA Journal article on Registered Magnums as coming from the factory with a 5" barrel and nickel finish. The gun is offered at $3,000 shipped, including the original holster.
Next, a 3" 627 V-comp in excellent condition (SPF). It comes in the factory PC case. This is a pre-lock gun. From what research I have done, only around 250 of these exist, so this should be a good opportunity for someone at $1,250.00 shipped.
As noted, I am attempting to raise cash to fund another project. But I would listen to partial trade offers on the Registered Magnum that would be easy for me to post here & liquidate.
