I can't find a list of year and serial numbers online at all. I must be doing something wrong in my search, to be left with my "you know what", in my hand! My serial # is 69K4687. Would someone please direct me to the right place to look, or just possibly, if you know the answer, please let me know the year of my gun's manufacture. Thank you all so much, in advance.:D

First of all, welcome to the forum

Smith and Wesson does not officially have a serial number list out on the Internet.

There is a list published in the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson

your revolver appears to have been manufactured in 1980. You can also request a historical letter which will provide you with the date of shipping, obviously that is different from the date of manufacture. Prior to Smith and Wesson computerizing in the 1980s only the date of shipment was being recorded

Thank You for the info. I was under the impression that my gun was made in 1969 from some people in my circle. Funny how I am still smart enough to figure that the more info, the better, so I appreciate your reply, and thank you for what seems to be the correct one. This is my first S&W handgun...where have I been??? er, I mean where has my S&W 357 Magnum been? :p:D
