I've posted that I now have a 6" 57-1 Nickle 41 rem mag Smith. Well it's eating at me that I don't have a box and owners manual for my particular model, being it's a -1 revolver from 82-84 time period.

A) Please describe to me what I need to look for to have the correct shipping box for my particular revolver. I doubt that I will ever find one labeled 57-1 but it would be nice. I'd just be happy at this time for a correct box without label.

I have found on line owners manuals for Model "57" but I cannot find any copies of Smith 57-1 owners manuals. Surly the manual was different from true 57's being that mine is not P/R.

Trying to put together a good package, I feel that this wonderful revolver deserves to at least a smith box and manual.

Not too up on boxes, but most likely the standard two piece blue or gray box. I say gray because nickel guns usually come in gray two piece boxes, but its not unheard of for a nickel gun to come in a two piece blue box with the label marked accordingly. It might have shipped with a display case too, but since you don't have it, not likely. You can quit looking for a 57-1 manual. There isn't one. They're just marked Model 57, but you may find one that's dated to correspond to the manufacture date of your gun. Post a want to buy on this forum and keep searching ebay and the auction boards for your box. You'll find one. Look every day, boxes are constantly being added. Good luck on your search!
