I went to the Fort Worth gun show yesterday and attendance was down. There was table after table of ammunition available to buy. Prices were high on everything I looked at and I didn't buy anything. I did sell 2 rifles and got a decent price for both.
Ammo, ammo everywhere.

I was at the original Ft. Worth gun show in late April; first one I'd been to in several years. Surprisingly, it reminded me of the older shows - no vacant tables and very crowded with a good bit of buying and selling. I hope the Ft. Worth show the end of this month is as good. It's still a one thousand table show.

The next show I'll go to is in December. Will be interesting to see what's there.

The glut of ammunition is a positive sign for us. Rule of Supply and Demand means manufacturers and retailers will have to lower prices to sell their merchandise. It wasn't too long ago that S&W was paying us to buy their M&P semi-autos.

...but it makes me wonder, is this because of disposable income being used to purchase groceries now?

Haven't been to any shows in quite a while. I am seeing ammo supply build as is the OP. I too hope that supply and demand will better align soon. Still very few primers and still triple what they cost pre crisis.

That Blindside ammo is a high-tech hex steel shot. Regular steel is running 22-25 a box where I shop for 2 3/4, I haven't seen the 3 1/2 recently.

Shooting ducks is always expensive ask me how I know.
