PLZ HLP - ANYONE WITH THE M&P10 811310

Hello all,

I'm thinking of asking SANTA for an M&P10, but I'm struggling to decide which model.

Could one of you that has this model please post a picture of the whole barrel with the handguard removed? I'm very interested in the profile under the handguard.

I've seen pictures of the regular model (thanks mistwolf!):p but am interested in what the 811310 barrel profile looks like.

I have an M&P15 in 556 that has a no flash hider / hvy barrel like the 811310 model of the M&P10 and I've grown quite fond of it.

Originally I got that model M&P15 because my LGS got it in an auction of another place out of state that was going out of business. The state I live in does not have that type of restrictions, so I got it on the cheap compared to the regular M&P15 of the same model. And like I said, it has grown on me.

One thing I worry about though. With the bigger 7.62 and no flash hider, is there a lot of blowback or does anyone notice that its louder from the shooters perspective than the same model with that HUGE FH?

I have the camo m&p10. I've had it for around a month or so. I've shot almost 40 rounds through it sighting it in and shooting some deer. It is very loud. When I'm riding around by myself looking deer I keep my earmuffs handy but if I'm running dogs with my brother shooting completely outside it's not that bad. I have a job that I have to protect my hearing so I may be a little extra cautious. It's has some blowback but nothing that really bothers me that bad..the only thing that I can compare the blow back to is the LE m&p15 version and if there is any different in blowback it's not that much.

I would Def recommend the m&p10. I was skeptic at first but have fell in love with it..

I put a leupold vx3 4.5-14x40 scope with the leupold 1 piece integral mount and it has been a great gun so far.

I did and I do recommend installing the geisselle ssa-e trigger because the trigger is to long and heavy for precision shooting in my opinion.
 
Sorry, I don't have a picture but the profile for the barrels with the flash hider is a medium bull like my MVP up until the gas block, then it becomes pretty much a pencil barrel from there. The barrel at the gas block is .750".
