PMC Bronze hard primers ??

Has anyone shot PMC Bronze enough to notice hard primers. I've been shooting quite a bit of it lately; very reliable in the JHP, and good price for a "premium" ammo. But when I check my spent casings, I've noticed quite a few small primer strikes ( shooting several different 9mms and .380). Has anyone else found this stuff to have really hard primers ?

I shoot it when I find it on sale and have found it to be good range ammo. Have never noticed any problems with firing it so have not checked any primers. Seems to be good stuff to me!

I've fired 1,415 rounds of the 132gr FMJ .38 Special through various revolvers and never had an issue.

I bought 4 boxes of their 158 grain 357 ammo 4 years ago and still have a box or so left. I've had no problems with it shooting in any of my model 27s. I did notice that it isn't a hot, high performance round in 357 Mag though. The Fiocchi 158 JHP I had bought around the same time frame was noticeably hotter, both in felt recoil and across a chrono.

I've shot it in 45acp and S&W 40 without any problems. I think it's pretty good ammo.

I think I shot some of their 9mm a few months back. Despite being downloaded 115gr SAAMI junk it functioned OK.

I have recently been helping a friend shoot up a case of PMC 5.56 he bought this past winter. No issues out of several rifles. I have used PMC rifle and handgun ammo out of a variety of guns over the years without any complaint. "PPU" is another good economy brand of ammo that works well, and uses good brass for reloading.

I bought 6 or 8 boxes of PMC Bronze .38 and .357 4 or 5 years ago and I have had terrible luck with the primers. I haven't even gotten through three boxes because it's so frustrating and dangerous.

I'm shooting with a 586 L Comp without moon clips because they won't fit the moon clips. It's possible the moon clips would have them seated slightly further back and would result in less missfires but I've never had any issues with any ammo without moon clips.

Out of a cylinder I typically have 1-2 not fire and then I have to wait 20-30 seconds each just in case they are a hang fire. None of them have hang fired. I will then cycle through again and see if they'll fire on a second striking. Half of them do, half of them don't fire at all.

Really dangerous and annoying. Makes me uncomfortable cycling a cylinder or opening/ejecting a cylinder with a round that could be a late hang fire, or putting a hangfire in the dud bin.
