Several magazines have a feature called "Pocket Dump" where they have some "Professional" tell and show a picture of the EDC stuff they carry. Mostly it has become another form of advertisement! Every thing they pull out is in like new condition and has a brand name attached.
Now to reality. When I turned 13 I received a very nice Case XX pocket knife from my older brother. Then dad took me aside and informed me there were a number of things "A Man" didn't leave the house without: Knife, Comb, Handkerchief, Keys, Wallet, & Payphone coins!
As I entered the working world, I have added and subtracted some things, and I was hoping we could share a few of the more unusual thing that are always on our persons. (Things you have stashed in you lady's purse also count. But the glove box and car trunk don't!)
In my wallet the are a number of small pockets, in one such pocket I have a spare key to my truck, 3 Band-Aids, and 2 one dollar coins. Out by the credit cards are 4 paper clips, 2-small & 2-large (these are the correct sizes for cleaning the orifices on gas stove burners-I haven't run service calls in over 10 years and still go through 4 to 6 a month!)
On my key ring is a small SWK, truck and house keys, a "Micro Belay Plate" for emergency rope work. (Never "Had" to have it, but comes in handy) and a small pill vile. Beside the key ring is a flashlight and a medium SAK and a folding ruler. In a different pocket is the large folding knife. On the belt is a pouch with an 8 round speed strip (38 Special+P) and the handkerchief has grown to a full bandana. (I had to bandage myself and my men several times, So the most common color is RED)
Of course the ever present J-frame is in the front right pocket. The Cell phone is in the shirt or jacket pocket.
What does your pocket dump look like?
