Several magazines have a feature called "Pocket Dump" where they have some "Professional" tell and show a picture of the EDC stuff they carry. Mostly it has become another form of advertisement! Every thing they pull out is in like new condition and has a brand name attached.

Now to reality. When I turned 13 I received a very nice Case XX pocket knife from my older brother. Then dad took me aside and informed me there were a number of things "A Man" didn't leave the house without: Knife, Comb, Handkerchief, Keys, Wallet, & Payphone coins!

As I entered the working world, I have added and subtracted some things, and I was hoping we could share a few of the more unusual thing that are always on our persons. (Things you have stashed in you lady's purse also count. But the glove box and car trunk don't!)

In my wallet the are a number of small pockets, in one such pocket I have a spare key to my truck, 3 Band-Aids, and 2 one dollar coins. Out by the credit cards are 4 paper clips, 2-small & 2-large (these are the correct sizes for cleaning the orifices on gas stove burners-I haven't run service calls in over 10 years and still go through 4 to 6 a month!)

On my key ring is a small SWK, truck and house keys, a "Micro Belay Plate" for emergency rope work. (Never "Had" to have it, but comes in handy) and a small pill vile. Beside the key ring is a flashlight and a medium SAK and a folding ruler. In a different pocket is the large folding knife. On the belt is a pouch with an 8 round speed strip (38 Special+P) and the handkerchief has grown to a full bandana. (I had to bandage myself and my men several times, So the most common color is RED)

Of course the ever present J-frame is in the front right pocket. The Cell phone is in the shirt or jacket pocket.

What does your pocket dump look like?

Minimalist, I think.

Folded cash and key fob in right front pocket.

Eyeglass wipe and vial of cologne (yes, cologne) in left front. :)

Creds and handkerchief in right rear; wallet left rear. In creds case are bandaids, floss, and usually a piece of paper for notes.

iPhone SE (smallest one) in plastic belt clip 'holster' on left hip.

60, 642, and now P7-M8 or G43 on right hip. Gun (never more than one) usually IWB in a Remora; OWB when wearing a suit, sport coat, or jacket.

Be safe.

PS: Occasionally will tote a speed strip or spare mag when wearing cover garment with pockets.

My wallet and comb in left rear pocket, handkerchief in right rear pocket . Left front pocket has my pocket knife and spare mag. Right front pocket has folded money and my key fob. Right now my LCP goes in my left front jacket pocket but that will change with the weather. Cell phone is on my belt.
Other needed items if needed are in my truck.;)

Well, you made me look. I do have the change for a pay phone (LOL), a bandanna, comb, wallet, SOG knife & keys. But my key ring also has a Gerber Mini-Multitool that get's used fairly often for one thing or another. I keep my folding money in a magnetic clip and my cards in a homemade card wallet. There's usually a folded $50 bill in it case of emergencies. I also carry a Streamlight micro flashlight, that gets more use than the Gerber, and some nail clippers. Then there's my prescription meds, properly labeled of course.

Although not in my pocket, I also carry a sidearm daily, today it's a Shield 45 in a Lobo Enhanced Pancake. The cell phone typically rides in the pocket with the hanky, but I had to use it for the photos. I normally stay loaded like this until I start to crawl into the shower each evening, then load back up the next morning. If I know I'm going to take a long drive for my work, or need to head into the city or out of town, I grab and extra mag or two.

It would take all day to list all the stuff in my pockets. The most prominent thing would be the Crown Royal bag containing Gold(en) Dollars.

When I go to the doctor's office I wear one of my vests to throw all the stuff from my pants pockets in. That way I can take off the vest containing all that metal when I get on the scale.

In my pockets:

Wallet - usually gets left under seat in vehicle.*
Keys with a detachable keyring with small knife w/2.5" blade
Flip phone
Cash/money clip

That's it.

*If something happens to me and someone is looking for my ID, they can look at the dog tag laced in my boot.

POCKETS, LINT.

IDK how some of you guys hold your pants up with all that stuff? Staples, thumbtacks, glue??? If I don't have my suspenders, like today, it's a money clip with cash/cards, keys & a bandana & HOPEFULLY I won't need 1 hand to hold the shorts up. Neck knife & cross around neck, 32 in Tee shirt pocket. :)

I don't think we are related, just like minded. :)

When I'm around my grandkids, I have a small leather bag with about 40 of the gold dollars in it!

When I visit the Dr. I have a baseball hat I dump all the heavies in!

Erich, you seem to be the first with something for your breath! Of course nobody mentioned a flask either.

Ivan

I always carry some sort of breath thing, but I'm doing the induction phase of Atkin's at the moment, so I have to be careful. Sadly, that does away with the flask, too.

I pretty much never carry a flask these days, though me offering Gina a pull on my flask within seconds of meeting her (as I tried to ditch a blind date at a work party) charmed her enough to agree to go out with me a couple weeks later. Ah, youth. :)

EDC: Wallet, small pocket knife, cash in a money clip, LCP II w/spare mag, keys, & flip phone. I don't have much need of a comb anymore.

Wallet, iPhone, reading glasses, car keys. Gun in the waistband.

No reload, knife, flashlight, tourniquet, kubaton, pepper spray, cash, coins, condoms, or chocolate bars. I wear a hat, so no comb.

I also haven't worn a watch in ten years.

I hope none of you fall off of a bridge into deep water. We may never hear from you again.

HaHa that's funny..... I have less than $100 in bills inside my left front pocket and nothing else .... no jewelry, cologne, breath mints, change or anything .....if wearing a belt, you can rest assured it's holding a pistol.....

My best self description...... a nature boy wearing clothes!
