Anybody know any websites I can find police trade in Smith revolvers that are in stock? I'm looking to spend less than $350. I dropped the ball when budsgunshop.com had them in stock a few months ago. These trade ins can be 1961+. Even if there are any before 1961, that is fine too. Thanks for any help!

Surplus City in Feasterville Pa,always has a good number of police trade ins. I would almost go so far to say its there bread and butter. Give them a call. Pretty close to you

HAHAHAHAHAHA, it's funny you mentioned that. I was there last night. None in stock, and they don't know when, let alone IF, they'll get any in.

Pick up a current copy of Shotgun News. The big distributors will advertize if they have some, and even if they don't advertize, you've got their phone numbers and web addresses so you can call and see what they might have on the shelf.
My 64-1 was a lawman's gun and it shows, but boy, does it shoot! It's a tight gun with a great trigger.

There are quite a few NY-1 (NYPD), CDC and CYA (CA Department of Corrections and Youth Authority) revolvers on the big online gun sites at present, along with some others.

Hey Alan,

Most of my "usuals" have nothing. Which sites were you thinking to check?

You can't find any S&W revolvers in Colorado Springs - even the pawn shops are dried OUT! I'll take any lead I can get.

P.S.

One of my favorite snubbys is a Model 64 is a California Dept of Corrections gun.

Where did they move to? I drove by their old location and it was closed up.

They are on Bustleton Pike in Feasterville, PA. (302 Bustleton Pike Feasterville, PA 19053)

Yes, please share where.

The ones I'm seeing right now are Model 10's from Jordan. A batch was recently brought in & are selling in the $250 range. Here is mine:

They all appear to be in similar external condition & excellent internally.

There are active auctions right now. I got mine from Olde English Outfitters in Tipp City OH.

This gun is in perfect condition. Well, for me, anyway. I am not a collector, all my guns have to "work," to shoot and be carried, so a nicely worn specimen such as this sets my heart all a'twitter (it is Valentines and I am an IT guy so I don't get out much).

Great find!

There were a bunch of Department of Corrections trade-ins at Southern Police Supply in Richmond, VA a while back... Model 64s and Remington 870s. I was in pretty good shape on revolvers at the time but got a great deal on an 870.

It's been a couple of years since I grabbed an ex-Aussy 4" M66-7. It's a fine gun & serves as backup to a scattergun on my side of the bed. S&W revolvers have been issued in so many corners of the world that hopefully they will return home to the US to live out their happy days.

Have your local dealer, or yourself if you are an FFL holder, call Williams Shooter's Supply in Quincy Il . They are the importer for the Model 10's from Jordan. 217 222 4195.
