Poll: Are you a cat person?

We had a kitten when my kids were small. Sweet little thing. She got her head slammed in a door one morning and her personality changed (much like my dad) She was very antisocial after that, but she would sit next to me- no touching! She lived for 17 years. I didn't have the heart to do anything but take care of her until the end.

We had two cats, both neutered males. The first one was jet black, and when he was close to a year old we adopted a long haired gray tabby kitten to keep him company. They both lived to be over 20 years old.

7 years ago we adopted a rescue from the local shelter, he's "mostly" Australian cattle dog. As much as I loved our cats, IMO, they just can't measure up to the love or companionship of a good dog.

I don't mind them, did not like them much until I met my friend's Siamese cat- darn cat was like a dog would come up on you and want to play if you did not mess with it it would get mad and start swatting you or something. A real friendly and funny critter.

I liked that cat so much I might have got one except I am allergic to them.

lol

I was till tonight at 8:45PM when I found my cat dead in the garage.

She was a wicked evil feral cat born on my patio back in 2006. I was the only person that could pet her. I think she jumped in my lap 3 times her adult life.

Yesterday I was out walking.
Ran into a Dude leading two dogs.
One was a Black and Tan who insisted on getting up on his hind legs and putting his front paws on my chest.
Then he whispered, You Ain't No Cat Person, are you?
No, no, me no cat person!
Good! Cause us Hounddogs need to stick together.
