ported 5906

Am new to the S&W auto pistols. Recently saw at a local gun show a beautiful 5906, two tone (black slide over stainless), trijicon night sights (dead), and with a ported slide and barrel. What has me curious is this thing looked absolutely new and unfired, although it was not in a factory box.
I cannot find any reference to a configuration like this. Is it factory, special edition, or a mod after sale? By the way, these look like Mag-na-ports.

Known as the Autoport by Mag-naport.
Never heard of it being done as a factory option.

Likely aftermarket porting. I cannot say that I'm a fan of porting through a slide. Just does not seem like a great idea to vent combustion gasses into the slide.
