The following pictures are of a knife my father just acquired. We have looked for it in several books and online discussions, but have had no luck. I joined this site to learn more about Smith & Wesson knives, pistols, revolvers as my father collects them but does not know how to go online. I was just wondering if anyone would have any info. It has the names James Bowie(on box) and Blackie Collins(on knife) associated with it. Any info about the knife, including description, make, model, price, etc. would be appreciated. Thank you!!

That is a replica Bowie Knife made in China. The last one I could find sold for $25 on a Worthpoint auction. Pacific Cutlery probably contracted the knife and added the "Blackie Collins" name to it.

Yeah I think that's a Chinese original Jim Bowie knife. Oh well, welcome to the forum from North dakota

It's a Chinese rip-off of the Blackie Collins design originated with S&W in 1975. Collins is deceased and I doubt his estate would license the use of his name on a cheap knife. Ed.

Thank you for the info you have given me. I assumed since it was made in China, that it probably wasn't anything special. I was just curious as it had both those names on there.
