Generally speaking, most issues can be addressed by "follow the money trail". Do you really want to effect something? Make a true threat against whatever funds it.
Take the media for example. They basically don't care what we think or say. However, what if their advertisers started leaving or questioning some of their agendas? The Bob Costas comments are old news after the school shooting in Connecticut, but it still affects our 2nd amendment rights.
Here is an e-mail I sent to Hyundai's CEO tonight:
Hi Mr. Krafcik,
For several years now I have respected Hyundai's approach to building automobiles and the way you advertise them. My wife's Ford Escape is going on seven years old and several of our friends have Hyundai's. Hyundai was at the top of my list of vehicles to look at until Bob Costas made his ridiculous anti-second amendment and anti personal gun ownership comments on NBC recently.
Mr, Krafcik, as long as Mr. Costas is on NBC, and as long as you advertise on Sunday Night Football where Mr. Costas is employed, I will not support your company and buy your product. I refuse to support the egotistical morons who spew forth their factually unfounded nonsense on national television, deceiving the American public with lies and deception.
Blessings to you at this Christmas time, but I will not buy from Hyundai as long as they advertise where Bob Costas is employed,

I encourage you to do more than rant on this and other forums. We have to take a little time, do some research and fight the fight in the only place where we actually stand a chance of making a true impact--by threatening the money that advertisers pour into the major networks. Find contact info on people who make decisions where advertising is done. It's not that difficult. Then share it on this and other forums. Here's Mr. Krafcik's e-mail address:

Let's start really making a difference,
