The number of messages one posts really doesn't matter, does it? So, I facetiously recommend that the "counter" feature be eliminated!
Then again . . . the reason that a counter is part of the program for forums such as this is . . . because it matters for a lot of reasons.
I hope they'll get the numbers restored. Numbers don't mean much to me . . . other than a representation of how many hours I've invested into this community. However . . .
WHAT I'VE REALIZED IN LOSING 2,000 POST CREDITS . . .
The loss of those numbers reminds me that there are probably a lot more productive and BENEFICIAL ways I SHOULD have spent my time . . .
. . . With my family and loved ones . . .
. . . and getting outside for more exercise; doing things around the house; getting some more range time in, taking little trips with my wife, etc.
My TOTAL internet forum time investment has been weighing on me a lot in the past few months anyway. As a matter of fact, in the past few months . . .
- I've dropped from posting in ALL the gun forums except for here.
- On various forums in another interest of mine, I've also culled them down to ONLY one other site besides here.
I've slowly put on weight through the last few years due to all the hours I spend eight hours a day now at work behind a computer . . . then I come home and do the same. My doctor has been telling me my weight is killing me.
THAT'S ME . . . and I'm kind of glad I lost these posts. It may be that final motivation to restore my priorities to what really matters . . . and it may add years to my life!!!
SO . . . I'M OUTTA HERE!
Folks, I'm gonna give this site a rest for a while and try to turn things around. Keep me in your prayers. I need to lose 100 pounds.
My wife is gonna rejoice by my decision . . . and maybe I can get my weight back do again to where I'm in shape to enjoy hunting season . . . and not die a premature death due to obesity from sittin' on my azzz so much!
I'm probably not the only one here who is guilty of staying on the computer too much at the detriment of health and family.
I love this community, and this forum . . . and will lurk occasionally and probably post on occasion too. After all . . . I LOVE it here.
To all my friends . . . and to Lee and his wonderful mods . . . all the best!
With fond memories . . .
