I've used titegroup in the 500 mag. Makes light loads, and as the powder only takes up a very small amount of the case capacity, you have to be very careful not to double charge a case.
Makes the 500 feel like shooting a 44 special.

No problem. I've noticed with some Hodgdon powders, they may list a powder only with data for lead bullets, but I have used the data for jacketed and plated as well with no issues.
The only powder that's even lighter recoiling than titegroup is trailboss. When I called Hodgdon, they said to fill the case just to where the bottom of the bullet would sit, with no compression of powder, and that's the max load. I think they suggested I'd be pushing a 350 gr about 850-950 fps in the 500. ( That's 45acp speed with a 350 gr ).

Also, don't hesitate to call hodgdon or the other powder companies, I find they are usually more than happy to help.

Good luck.

Don't you just use one ice cream scoop of powder instead of two scoops:)

Good luck and don't double charge the light loads.
