I saw a revolver on the auction board listed as a "14-6 PPC". The description appears to be of a Performance Center 14-6 Roper gun.

Was there a seperate run of PPC 14-6 with full lug 4 inch and recessed crowns? Thanks! Regards 18DAI

With no box and no Factory letter, it is just a good story.

The firearm shown is not a Performance Center manufactured revolver. If it were, the S&W logo would be replaced with the Performance Center logo

Actually the PC 14, as defined in the SCSW, did not bear the famous PC seal. At least that is what Mr. Jim Rae, the man who made them told me. Regards 18DAI

Are you sure they aren't referring to the gun as being built for PPC (Police Pistol Combat) competition? Usually a change out to a heavy and/or full underlug barrel and a rib with integral sights like an Aristocrat or Bomar.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

Yes, quite sure. It is a Performance Center 14-6.

The Roper 4-inch -6's had a Performance Center product code, 170154, but AFAIK they were not marked with the PC logo. Perhaps that's the reason for the confusion.

Sources say 100 were made, in small runs, over a number of years, like perhaps a decade. S/n prefix I've seen include: BET, BFR, BJH, BNW.
