First time post: I'm looking at a pre 29 presentation case for sale and I was wondering if someone could express an opinion on value based on an actual recent sale. I'm already in possession of both the pistol and a box, but the one listed is in much better condition than the box I own. I would rate the listed box as "good" condition. One small tear of the interior lining. Outside of the box is fully intact with no tears or stains. Gold lettering is faded. This is the black leatherette presentation box with gold hinges and lock and satin like interior. Any educated opinions would be appreciated. Just to clarify this is a S&W factory presentation box for a 6.5 inch barrel S&W pre29 44 magnum. Mid 1950s vintage. Good condition for its age. Just the box. Also, if anyone has contact information for folks who restore these boxes please send me a PM with such contact info. Thanks.
