Just so happened that I had to go to town today and heard yesterday that there was a gun show. Talked my wife into a 'brief' visit and took a 9mm I wanted to sell or trade anyway. Came home with this:

A Pre-43 Airweight Kit Gun with a 3 1/2" bbl. Maybe someone can tell me about what you can and can't do with a mid-50s era Aluminum cylinder? Probably no Stingers, but is it OK for standard 22s? It weighs just over 14 ounces. What a cool, handy little grouse getter. What would this be worth? Serial is 154**. All Numbers match. I haven't cleaned it up yet, but what do you think?.

You picked a fine "Model of 1955 22/32 Kit Gun Airweight" from around the end of 1955. You may be thinking about 38 Spl aluminum cylinders, there are no issues with the .22s and the they remained aluminum through out production.

In that condition they generally sell in the $600 ball park give or take depending on location and method of sale. Based on that how did you do?

Thanks for the reply. I traded a Kahr PM9 for it that I had about 550 in, so I guess not too bad.

Glad to hear that - I was thinking about the 38s. I certainly plan on shooting this.
