I have what is probably a late 80's 40 round Ram-line high cap magazine for the "legendary" Ruger 10/22! Tinted see-thru plastic. No fasteners - - its all plastic glue or thermal staked....

The magazine is sooo early it says "Patent Pending". I can post pics later if that would help.

I don't know the restrictions because I'd never move back to a high-tax high-restriction (socialist) state. Is it true that members in restrictive states might want it? Can it be sold & mailed to those states or is that illegal too? PM's welcome.

Ruger currently makes a factory 25 rounder (BX-25), so it's safe to assume your 40 rounder would be legal anywhere the BX-25 is sold or legal to own.

OK, maybe my OP last paragraph wasn't clear enough.

Basically I know the new ones (BX25, etc) are legal where they are sold. My post refers to discussions that legacy "pre-ban" original ones might be legal (grandfathered) in restrictive states. Would someone in a restrictive state want my preban orig Ram-Line 40rnd 10/22 magazine? Or should I toss it?

You have to know state laws. Some allow pre ban mags others don't. MA allows. I believe NJ doesn't allow anything over 15 rounds period!

No such thing as pre-ban in N.Y.S....
We have the safe act.
Anything more than 10 rnd. mag. is illegal here no matter how old. No selling and no mailing.
