Pre-Model 10 Revolver

Hello Everyone! I have a pre-model 10 revolver in very nice condition. I could only find 3 screws, 6 shot, 4" barrel, SN: K 266774.


Can anyone help me narrow this guy down?

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! It's not a pre-model 10. It's either a K-38 Masterpiece (6" barrel) or a .38 Combat Masterpiece (4" barrel). It is a 4 screw so it was made between 1955 and 1961. With no model number, between 1955 and 1958 or 59. As Fran says, we need to see the whole gun to tell you more.

I didn't see it mentioned, but the 4th screw is under the top of the right grip panel.

Your .38 Combat Masterpiece probably left the factory in 1956. K278720 shipped in November, 1956, and K285963 shipped in January, 1957. We know it can't be earlier than 1956 because it only has four screws.

A nice revolver to have.
