Pre-war 38/44 box value?

I recently acquired a box for a 1939 era 38/44 Outdoorsman that's in very good condition - a little scuffing on the high spots and a few dirt smudges, but otherwise very much intact. No papers/tools - just the box. What would the value of that be - ballpark??

Scuffing hurts getting top dollar, however if this box was on Ebay, I would expect a sale in the low 3 figures. Ed.
