Pre-war Grip Photo Request

I would appreciate it if some kind, knowledgeable individual(s) could post any of three grip photos for me:

1 Brazilian 1917--does not have the 1937 date so I guess it is a 1938 production.

2. 1935 shipped HD 38/44

3. 2nd Model HE 44 shipped Jan. 1924,

Here's my question: I think my Brazilian has commercial grips on it, my inbound HD has aftermarket grips, and I was told after posting photos of my 44 HE that it had pre-1920 grips. I'd like to know what each gun is supposed to have.

Look at thread #55 for pictures. The 2nd model .44 would wear the service grips, only sans the medallions.

Here's one answer.
After much discussion, the Forum consensus was that these stocks came from a '30 vintage Comm. 1917. And that they were the proper stocks for the 1926 HE (pictured) and the '37 Brazilian guns.

Go to GunBroker and put in # 282119382. You will see a 2nd model .44 Special wearing the stle grips that belong on your .44.

The post WW II Brazilians tend to have the smooth WW I style grips.

Show below is my 1935 Registered Magnum with both style of stock's that were offered back then being the standard walnut service stocks as well as the hard to locate Pre-War Magna's...Both style of these stock's could have been ordered on your H.D. or your Brazillian revolver I hope this helps...

I don't believe pre war Magnas were offered on the Brazilian 1917s, as these guns were ordered for the Brazilian military.

It would not surprise me to see that one may Just Letter with Magna's as we do not know for sure "who got them" possibly a high ranking officer wanted them when they were ordered and I have had to learn anything is Possible with S&W's and both Variations were available back in 1938 when the Brazalian revolver's shipped out of the factory.
