Having looked online etc for a pre war SAT for my K22 Outdoorsman, I found one in my local gun shop. Unfortunately it is with a box and Outdoorsman, but may or may not be original to the box. Although not perfect as it has been used, it is in good shape. Of course I am curious of value, as I offered $300 and waiting for a decision. Only one I have seen for sale in my couple years of looking.

The last sales I saw on eBay, over a year ago, were in the $500 - $600 range. As I recall that's about what I paid for the one pictured below.

Whole package K22 Outdoorsman, box SAT

My local shop wants $2,650 for entire package. Not willing to buy as want SAT for my Outdoorsman and box in better condition.

I think $300 would be a good buy for that SAT. I would love to see a few photos of your Outdoorsman package.

Good Luck,

Thanks for better posting. Will try to figure this out next time I post.

Posting Pictures

Thanks for better posting. Will try to figure this out next time I post.

I use Tapatalk to post pictures that I have on either my iPhone or iPad. It is very easy to use. In the case of your photos I just opened the thumbnails, took screenshots, edited/rotated them, and then uploaded then with Tapatalk.

Wow! I had no idea what those SATs were worth. I didn't even know what mine was until I joined this forum a few years ago, as the one I found in one of my dad's trinket boxes had one in it, in very excellent condition, but it has 9 "rings" on the handle. I suppose it came with the 1950 K22 Masterpiece I now have that was his. No way this post-war tool can be worth that much money, can it? Gosh, I kinda wish he'd have kept the original box, too. The gun has lived in the Bauer Bros. holster as long as I've been walking...DOB 1957. Good luck in your search. Gonna see if my daughter can teach me to upload pics.

A picture would certainly help, but the post war SAT you described is probably worth more in the $100 - $150 range.

I tried to post the pic but something happened. I downloaded the Tapatalk app, got all the way to posting, took a picture, pressed where it said to use the picture or retake, I pressed to use it and my phone did nothing. I had to shut it off to get out of the posting. I'll try later. Thanks.
