Is hunting down presentation cases and cleaning brushes worth the time and money? I bought a 4" 29-2 that appears to have only been factory fired (3 cylinders only have the slight firing rings, every other cylinder) but it did not come with anything else.

That is something only you can answer. From what I have seen with gun prices + cost of a good presentation case, docs and tools = more than market value of the package.
If you absolutely want a complete package and intend to retain the gun for a long time, price is a secondary issue.
