PRI Folding Sight?

Hi everybody, new poster and new owner here. I tried to search for this but did not have a lot of luck.
Has anybody mounted a PRI folding front sight on their rifle? I know there is a difference in barrel thickness but I thought there might be a workaround to that. Seems like there are some pretty inventive, clever people here!

If I remember correctly, someone(s) used copper tubing as a shim to take up the difference in thickness. Don't know particulars, but do remember reading a couple posts about it.
