Hi to all!
I have been thinking of selling a mod. 19 that I've had for about 25 year if not more. She definitely a safe queen. Round count would be less than 300rd. It is Mod. 19-3 with the pinned and recessed cylinder SN# 2K26xx. The bluing is excellent, I would rate it at 98%. It is a square butt frame with original S&W target wood grips. I have seen a wide range of selling prices, just trying to get good idea of the value.

Thanks,
mranthony

Well , it's not "unfired" so unless it's a rare Variant it only has value
as a working firearm , AKA a "shooter".

Condition and Appearance mean everything however I would assume a value
greater than $350. for ANY S&W in excellent condition .

Original box, papers & tools are important to some (actually many). If you have these items I think you can safely add $50 you your price once determined...

In my area, something like that would be priced at $500 in the gun shops. How fast it would sell is another question.

If I was buying, I would want to get it for $400 tops.

I've been on a quest for the last couple months to aquire as many K frames as a can

.
Here is what I seen on the 4" & 6"; 95%(damn near new) $450 sold, add box &tools +$50, Nickle +$50-$75, Target hammer & Trigger +$50.
The Stocks don't seem to matter on the auction sites from what I can see, but most have targets.
There are alot of them around for more but they aren't selling, atleast not quickly. I had my eye on the same 3 for 4 months. The price never goes over $475 to met reserve and 2 have a $550+ buy it now, shipping extra.
I haven't paid more than $475 yet with shipping and transfer.

Hopes that helps

I have seen several pinned and recessed Model 19 Smith's in my area in that condition anywhere between $400-$500, depending also on barrel length. I know a 19 snub pinned and recessed that went for $525, and a 6-inch 19 that the guy couldn't get rid of for $350 (I think it went for $300 or close to)

Good thread guys. Used it as a guide to price the 4 inch P&R i'm selling.
My first handgun was a 19-3 in six inch of which I still own. The 19s have pretty much perfect balance to me and as with any K frame, the more you shoot it the slicker the action gets.
