Local shop has a 3914 for sale @$469.00.
It has holster wear on the front and on the sides.
I would rate at around 80-85%.
The price too high or not?
please help need some feedback.
thanks

The harder a gun is to come by, the more valuable it becomes. Personally I think that is a little on the high side but it's in no way unreasonable either. Locally I have found 3914's for around $400. That is WHEN I can find them locally.

The SCSW says book value is 500 as new in box, 375 in excellent condition and 325 in good condition. But books don't follow trends and the 3rd generation single stack is hot right now.
"Buy it now" values on auction sites are right at $400 plus shipping plus whatever local FFL fees you may have, which brings the note to about $450.

Is $469 high? A little. I'd offer $400. If he comes back with $450 you may still want to go for it.

My 3954 is the DAO version of the 3914 (Look Ma, no levers!). I paid $400 for it last month, no tools, papers or box. I was in the right place at the right time ...

Little high

If it had the box, spare mag and papers, and was 95% or better then I'd say the price was OK. Seems a bit high for what's being offered. I've seen more 3913's for sale recently than 3914s - so that may justify the asking price somewhat. I think $450 OTD would be max for me on this one. Patience is a virtue in trying to find nice, single stack compact 3rd gen pistols. Two more have joined the collection since this pic: a 3913 and a 3953. Both really nice examples - and under $400.
Hang in there.

3914

I was in a small local shop today, i found a 3914 with one mag, no box ect. 98% in and out.
$314.00 and and east german makarov made in 63"
about 95% high polish blue, 2-mags $189.00
i took them both. nice afternoon.

I had a 3914, but traded it about 12 years ago. I have been angry at myself ever since. It is the only pistol that I ever got rid of that I regret. Would love to find one in great shape for a reasonable price.

Seems kind of high. I got a NIB 3914 TSW a few months back for a little under $550.00.
