Price check on model 37

I have a nickel model 37 with a 2-inch barrel that a friend of mine is interested in. I have had the revolver for several years and have never used it, so I am considering selling it to him, but I need a ballpark value. It is unfired in the silver S&W box with all papers and cleaning kit. S/N is J361xxx if that matters. The only flaws are a pin-prick size spot on the cyclinder and a 2mm x 2mm spot on the side of the frame on the topstrap where there nickel plating has flaked off, otherwise it looks like new. Welcome to the forum. Just saw your post and sorry you did not get an answer before now.
I'm no expert on values and usually go with my gut feeling or what prices I've seen other guns priced at. With the gun you describe I'd say $350 to $400 is what I'd expect to see in one of the local shops. Maybe some of the other members will chime in.
