I'm thinking I need a single shot but don't have a clue about what I should expect to pay. What are the 22lr single shots going for in good to excellent condition?

Prices on Single Shots

Hello,

I have been finding the 1st models to be around 500.00 higher than the second models. A nice first has been going for 2 to 3,000 .

Nice second and third models around 1500.00 to 2500.00

The fourth models in the box with the tools for around 2500.00 to as new 4500.00

Then there are "shooter grade" examples from 400.00 to 1200.00 in all single shot models.

Over $1K is a little rich for my blood. I'm not a collector; everything I buy (new or used) has to be a shooter (if only rarely). Maybe I'll come across a decent shooter grade gun in my travels.

There is a 1st Model of 91 .32 S&W with 8 inch barrel on Gunauction [Auctionarms] for sale, goes off auction in 4 days. Fair condition. Presently under $600.

Looks as if the barrel finish is different from the frame. Makes me wonder if the numbers match. The standard grips are not right for a single shot. The price has moved on up anyway and the money goes to a good cause.

Keep your eyes open, if you can accept 50% or less condition and maybe mismatched barrel to frame (not uncommon) you can find some under that $1000 mark, and possibly under $700.
